За время увлечения изготовлением косметики я перепробовала много разных ингредиентов. Мне вообще интересно пробовать новое. Под новым я имею в виду какие-нибудь полимеры, увлажняющие вещества, эмоленты. Экстракты, пептиды и тому подобное я не рассматриваю в принципе. В результате я пришла к крему для лица, который работает так, как мне хочется, и не имеет ничего лишнего. Состав и комментарии, почему именно эти ингредиенты, под катом.

Catkin Pressed Powder Foundation C02 Peach

It's a powder foundation, works okay. I like that it's fair and has a pink tone, it's kinda hard to find such shade. It's pretty close to my skin tone when applied so you can barely see it on the arm swatch. It is a powder so it will exacerbate the appearance of your skin texture. The coverage is light. Don't like the sponge, I find that a brush works much better.

Catkin Eye Shadow Palette C08 Morandi

The palette is aesthetically pleasing, I like this style of packaging. Sadly, official swatches were misleading. These shadows are closer to nude than to pink, and they are glitters. There are two matte shades in the top row, and they are not particularly good. They would work just fine though. The blue and brown shades in the bottom row are shimmers and quite nice actually. The grey shade is okay. The glitters are too gritty for my sensitive skin but their quality in itself is good. The glitter formula is oily to touch and spreads easily. The shades are nice, too. It's just that I expected pink and shimmer so it was a disappointment. As usual, arm swatches only.

Catkin Lipsticks

As usual, no lip swatches. The lipsticks are quite nice and apply smoothly. They are pretty resistant and hard to remove from the skin. Oil and soap couldn't remove them, but point makeup remover from softymo works perfectly.

Ciga Long Beauty x The Untamed Lipstick Set

I don't think these lipsticks are still available, I've checked Ciga Long's Tmall store and couldn't find any. Various re-sellers still have those, I bought mine through twitter user JustForCPop. The quality is ok, I guess. The lipsticks are matte but not smudge proof which is a bummer. There are no lip swatches because my selfie-camera sucks big time. The only color I really like is 013 Dreamland. So mostly this post is just for bragging with lots of pointless photos.

Kose Visee Avant Single Eye Color

I was going to make this into a long post with lots of pictures on a certain cosmetics and beauty review site but I've sort of lost all my drive to do it because the admins of that site rejected my conditioner post due to picture quality. That was all fine, I get it, my pics are certainly not great but what really got me is that they rejected the post after I've deleted all the not-that-nice images. The post is uninformative, they said. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I personally wouldn't call that post uninformative, and it just killed all my desire to actually write anything. That's why this post is here, with one simple swatch on the arm. It's just that there is no point in actually showing these eye shadows on my eyes as they are extremely hooded. Some people use eyeliner thicker than the space on my eyelid that you can see. And these shadows are mostly nude so I find it best to swatch on the arm. On eyes they look pretty much the same.

Еще один весьма популярный санскрин, я решила его попробовать после рекомендации Dr Dray, на видео он мне как-то сразу понравился, и я решила, что мне надо. Меня санскрин привлек своей легкой текстурой и отсутствием отдушки, для меня это очень важные факторы.

Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF50+/PA++++

Насколько я знаю, Biore Aqua Rich — один из самых популярных санскринов, его хвалят везде и давно, но я решила его попробовать, когда в феврале Biore выпустили обновленную формулу санскринов с технологией второй кожи. Предполагается, что такое средство лучше распределяется по коже, не оставляя незащищенным ни один участок кожи. Санскрин содержит различные увлажняющие ингредиенты, его можно использовать как базу для макияжа. Также в пресс-релизе производитель обещает легкое удаление санскрина с помощью пенки, несмотря на водостойкую формулу — стойкость к поту и воде более 80 минут.

Emily de Molly Flatline

Emily de Molly Flatline is a light taupe grey ultra holo with strong purple overtones. To be honest, I don't really see taupe or grey, I'd call this light purple. The formula is fantastic and the holo flare is stunning. Flatline is completely opaque in two or three coats. The application is very easy and the polish dries very fast. Flatline is easy to remove and doesn't stain your nails.

For the photos in this post I've applied a thin top coat over two coats of Flatline. Some people say that you shouldn't wear a top coat with linear holographic polishes because top coats make the holographic effect weaker. I've never noticed that, my holos usually look the same after I apply my top coat. My guess is that this has something to do with the thickness of a top coat. Many people like thick top coats, they use it to get that squishy gel look. On the other hand, I prefer very thin top coats so the layer on the top of the holo polish is fine and probably doesn't affect the holo flare too much.

Emily de Molly Sintara

Emily de Molly Sintara in natural light

Emily de Molly Sintara is a dark blue creme with strong turquoise simmer. The formula was perfect, very easy to apply. The polish is opaque in two coats and fast-drying, which is always useful for a speed manicure. I suggest using a top coat to make the shimmer more prominent. Sintara doesn't stain upon removal. I'll be using it again many times, for sure.
