Emily de Molly Garnet Fire

Emily de Molly Garnet Fire is a dark red with copper/bronze/gold flakies. The formula was thicker than I'd like, and the application wasn't that easy for me. I even had to correct the polish on two fingers with a brush dipped in acetone, and I don't like doing that at all. I don't know, if that's because of pigment, flakies, or thickness but I would certainly try adding nail polish thinner. The color is beautiful, and I liked those flakies, surprisingly, so I'll keep trying to tame Garnet Fire. The polish is high pigmented so you can get away with just one coat. I'd suggest applying two very thin coats to minimize any mishaps. The polish dries fast and smooth on the nails, flakies do not make the surface rough. I still applied a top coat to make the color more vivid.

The pic was taken near a window with just a little hint of sunlight.

Emily de Molly Scorched Earth

Scorched Earth is a burned orange linear holographic polish with gold shimmer. The formula is nice and smooth. The polish is completely opaque in two coats. With a suitable base coat and one coat of the polish, the coverage is also even but a bit sheer. Scorched Earth dries fast and smooth on the nails. I had no issues with staining both times I wore this polish.

This color is amazing! I'm usually very wary of reddish or pinkish colors as they can make my fingers look weird. I even stopped trying to find a pink polish that will look good. The best thing about Scorched Earth is that it is between red and orange so my issue with odd skin coloration is not as strong. And the color is so bright and vivid, I adore it!

Emily de Molly Claire Bear

As promised, here is the post about Claire Bear from Emily de Molly and Celestial collaboration called Heroes Duo. Just in case, the post about Electric Sphere is here. Claire Bear is a dark red holographic creme. It's completely opaque with just a single coat, but as always I've used two coats with a top coat for photos in this post. You don't really need to use a top coat with Claire Bear as it's pretty glossy on its own. The formula is fantastic, it's easy to apply the polish.

I've googled both Electric Sphere and Claire Bear before buying them, and while Electric Sphere was more or less like the swatches I've seen, Claire Bear was a surprise. Most Claire Bear swatches I've managed to find were much lighter that the color I've seen on my own nails. Maybe, there were different batches with slightly different colors. It's also possible that the coats I applied were much thicker. So the photo above has exactly the color I see in 'real life'.

Emily de Molly The Devil's Advocate

The Devil's Advocate is a bright red holo with red to gold shimmer, the official site says. I would personally call it bright pink or even fuchsia. I've only been able to see it as red in yellow electric light or in the direct sunlight. Both yellow light and sunlight make colors appear warmer, i.e. redder in this case.

The holo looks pretty subtle. In most cases I see more shimmer than holo. The Devil's Advocate is highly pigmented, it is completely opaque in one coat. Here I've used two coats, but that's just because I always use two no matter what. The official site warns about the possibility of staining, but I personally had no issues with removing this polish. I find all Emily de Molly polishes to be extremely easy to use, and The Devil's Advocate is no exception.

The photo above was taken in white electric light. I've also taken photos in the shade and in the direct sunlight, you can find them under the cut.

Peripera Nail Story RD001

RD001 is a beautiful red jelly, I just love it. The formula is very nice, I would definitely recommend this polish to a beginner. It was so easy to apply and you are totally fine with just one coat. However, I applied three coats for the photos because I wanted it to look brighter. Its opaqueness doesn't really change, it was pretty much the same with one coat and three coats. You can see on the photos that nail line is still visible with three coats. RD001 is also super glossy even without top coat. Its durability can be an issue, though. If you are in a hurry, then apply one coat but the tips of your nails won't look so good by the end of the day. If you want your polish to stay unchanged for a longer period of time, then apply 2-3 coats.
